AMSRS 2011 Curiouser & Curiouser

I was very excited to hear today that our paper on Online Qualitative Research has been accepted for the AMSRS 2011 conference, Curiouser & Curiouser.  The conference will be held on 8th & 9th September in Sydney, and will include speakers from all over Australia (and perhaps further a field?  full line up is still TBA).

I’m excited to be presenting with one of my favourite co-collaborators (partner in crime?), Jo Farquhar of TNS Travel & Leisure team.  Jo and I have worked together on numerous studies, both during my time at TNS and also since I’ve been out on my own.  This paper will be using the case study of the recent Domesticate TM 2010 project, conducted late last year (more details here or on the TNS sixth sense blog).

The paper aims to shed some light on the benefits and pitfalls of the method.  We hope to give practical examples of how to implement online qual, the traps to avoid and why we think that it can really enrich research findings (in the right situation).  More info to come – so stay tuned!
